Our Great Actor-in-Chief

Written by PeacockWatch on January 26, 2011.

We all recall how Barak Hussein Obama came to power.  A young, charismatic, orator, unknown to the public, gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004.  He was quickly promoted by the Democratic Party, becoming a Senator in 2006, and running for the presidency in an environment when the public, conditioned by eight years of character assignation by the mainstream media, found themselves sick of George W. Bush, and the Republican Party.
To a majority of the country he appeared to be the savior, running as a moderate and railing against partisan ranker, Washington’s out-of-control spending and waste, and “change”.  The mainstream media burnished his image and virtually ignored his radical, left wing past.
In an historic election, this country elected the first black man to the highest office in the land, if not the world.  For a brief time, some were smug and patted themselves on the back.
Several days, and only several days, after his inauguration, Mr. Obama stepped out of his acting role, made a hard left-hand turn, and revealed his true colors.  This was an acting role of a lifetime, and he should have received an Oscar.  Instead, he received only a Nobel Peace Prize.  When the hangover cleared, we found that we had elected the most radical, left wing socialist in the history of our country, as the 44th President of the United States.  (How about a shout out here to the mainstream media?)
The next two years were followed a raw show of power, as only a party controlling all of the branches of government can pull off.  Cabinet appointees were not vetted by Congress, merely appointed as Czars, and moving forward the most liberal agenda since the “New Deal”.  We got larger government, more supervision over private enterprise, and less liberty for all.  His stimulus program spent trillions on things that produced no results, but did reward his political base. His crowning achievement, Obamacare, 2,700 pages of legislation that no one had read or understood, was shoved down the throat of the people, in the dark of night, against all of their protests.  It was historic.  No significant piece of legislation had been forced on the country with such narrow margins and such strong arm tactics. Yet, it fulfilled a seventy-eight year liberal dream, and cost his party the House and most of the Senate.  His approval rating plummeted.
Fresh from this self-described “shellacking”, we are now witnessing “Obama II, The Sequel”.  His new role is much the same as his old character, but it will be much more difficult to pull-off given the fact that he exposed himself after the first performance.
The trailer for his new role was previewed in his recent State-Of-The-Union Speech.  Peppered with words such as, bi-partisanship, deficit reduction, investing in education, green jobs, making America more competitive, and jobs, jobs, jobs, his inner moderate is re-emerging.  After all, he did extend the Bush tax cuts.
As all great actors, Obama has the ability to act out a role, but be someone else, to say one thing, and do exactly the opposite.  With personalities of this ilk, you cannot listen to what they say; you must look at what they do.
As a public service to those of you in our costal states, who may actually listen to Obama’s words, Peacock has decided to decode his words so you may better understand what he is saying.  It is not hard to decode.
“Investment” means more government spending and a larger deficit (if that is possible).  “Bi-partisanship” means making nice on the surface until I can find a rock to crush your skull.  “Investing in education,” means throwing more money and power to the teacher unions who have our children enslaved in public schools.  “Green Jobs” means regulating carbon and destroying the economy further by drastically raising the price of energy and destroying more jobs than are created.  “Making America more competitive,” means bigger government telling private enterprise just what technologies they should pursue, and punishing industries that do not follow that lead.  It all adds up to continuing the march to socialism, and the upcoming battles with Congress will reaffirm this.
Peacock from the beginning has held the opinion that Obama was designed by the radical left to be a one-term president  Do as much damage to the country in a short period of time and spend the rest of your life traveling the world and giving speeches to fellow travelers.  That being said, no harm in giving it the old college try.  As P.T. Barnum said, “There is a sucker born every day” (or a new voter, as the case may be).
It is an old adage, but one that is true.  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

8/28/10 Honor Rally- Great Expectations

Written by PeacockWatch on September 1, 2010.

Peacock has long believed that People will meet your expectations. Ronald Reagan’s expectations of Americans were high. Through him we finally shook ourselves loose from the lingering malaise of the Vietnam War and began to believe again in our greatness. American morale improved quickly and our great American machine started humming again. He believed enough in each of us that he wanted dramatically less government and more reliance on the individual
Obama’s expectations of Americans are clearly very low. Time after time he has talked about how we have created problems around the world and how injustice is common within our country. His comments work to lower our morale and our faith in ourselves. He believes so little in each of us that he is aggressively creating a larger government that is restricting our freedoms more and more.
Peacock and spouse took the long over road trip to the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor Rally on August 28th, 2010. We agreed that it was one of the best experiences in our lives. It was an experience designed to, and succeeded in, helping us believe even more strongly in ourselves and our fellow Americans. This increased belief didn’t just come from the powerful words of those on the stage. It also came from those who were there. At least 500,000 people gathered enthusiastically, cordially, and respectfully to hear and share in the positive message presented. Peacock emphasizes that is was a positive message without negative references.
This massive crowd was the friendliest I have ever experiences. At one point there was a concern that a small child had been lost in the crowd. A woman near us commented that this was the safest and most loving large crowd possible for a small lost child. I have no doubt that she was right. It was almost the cleanest and neatest crowd. The grounds were clean and the trash cans full after the event was over.
People came from all over. We met attendees from California, Arizona (they all love Jan Brewer), Texas, Colorado, South Dakota, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, North and South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and other states. We saw old people in wheelchairs, on crutches, using canes, and using each other to stand upright and keep going.. Everyone offered help.
The message to people who believe in the principals put down on paper by our founding fathers did not disappoint any of us.
We heard about restoring the America as it was founded. Restoring faith in our free enterprise system, in self-reliance, in community. This was briefly contrasted at one point with rejecting transformation of America to something that is clearly just the opposite.
We heard about our inalienable rights originating from God. That government has no right to take those away and cannot grant new inalienable rights. They can only originate from God.
We heard a lot about unity rather than division. The most significant reference to race during the day was that we all belong to one race – the human race.
We heard the granddaughter of Rev. Martin Luther King, Alveda King, say “God Bless America”.
We heard about the greatness and relevance of our founding fathers in our daily lives. We heard about acting with honor in all things. We heard about faith, hope and charity and never heard one word about anger, division or hate.
However, in watching most of the news media after the event, particularly MSNBC, we were hearing nothing positive about any of these things. Even Fox news reported as if they didn’t even have anyone there. One has to wonder what the motivation of the news media is in not reporting the positive nature of this event and instead going on a personal attack against Glenn Beck and others on the stage. Some of the attacks by MSNBC were simply outrageous and in stark contrast with the positive, uplifting nature of the event. They bore no resemblance to what I saw and experienced first hand.
The contrast is striking. Glenn Beck has high expectations of Americans and America. He knows that we will meet those expectations. He believes our inalienable rights come from God and that they were excellently defined by our founding fathers. He believes that wealth is not redistributed through government but through charitable organizations and churches. He believes that we should be asking God to bless America, not damn America.
The message from our president, supported strongly by the mainstream media, is depressing. He wants to make government larger and have it take more control over our lives. He wants us to pass on massive debt to our children and grandchildren. He says the message of our founding fathers is no longer relevant, that we must transform America and put more trust in a government that moves itself farther from God each year. He wants America to have only a participatory role in the world rather than a leading role. In short, his expectations of us are low.
For Peacock and Spouse the Restore Honor Rally was a transformational event. We will meet Glenn Beck’s expectations and will spread the word to others through our words and actions.
God Bless America. And God Bless Glenn Beck.

Why Peacock Watch Is Here!

Written by PeacockWatch on July 15, 2010.

It is interesting to learn that many people are unaware that the United States Department of Justice recently dropped voter intimidation charges against the New Black Panther Party for their 2008 activities at polling locations. Not only do they not know that the DOJ dropped charges — they don’t know why!

In conversations with two intelligent associates recently Peacock heard one say, “There is no Black Panther Party. That was in the 60’s”. The other one said that she was “unaware of any activity recently surrounding Black Panther intimidation of voters. That is two year old news.” So, one did not know that the Black Panther party was alive and active. The other didn’t know that the DOJ wasn’t pursuing action against the Black Panther party because it refused to take action against blacks. Neither knew that a senior attorney in the DOJ resigned because of the racist decision by the DOJ leaders. It looks like justice may not be blind but the American public may be mostly blind because the mainstream media works overtime to keep them that way.

The reason that neither of these people knew about this is because it is not appearing at all in the mainstream media and certainly not on MSNBC!

Then there is the Congressman who was totally unaware that the DOJ had recently dropped the investigation of voter intimidation by the Black Panthers

“>

The reason this congressman supposedly didn’t know is probably because his news sources come only from the mainstream media.

A quick search on Google confirms what is happening in the mainstream video media. If one puts in the search term “new black panther party voter intimidation” in the Google search bar there is page after page of coverage by Fox News. There is no coverage by the mainstream video media. There is essentially no coverage to very limited coverage by major newspapers.

The “Fourth Estate” of the press has abandoned its duty to the American public. News is no longer reported without bias. It is either analyzed or commented on while being presented. Or, if it doesn’t fit the political agenda of the owners of the news media it may not be reported at all. Freedom of the press is guaranteed under the very first amendment to the United States Constitution. Our founding fathers believed that a free press was essential to keep government honest. But that only works if the press is honest. Clearly it is not.

Olbermann’s Opinion of Republicans

Written by PeacockWatch on November 3, 2009.

It interesting that MSNBC can jump on the bandwagon criticizing Fox News for not being a news bureau. Keith Olbermann’s program on November 2nd was an amazing display of being an excellent and dogmatic spokesperson for the Democratic Party. MSNBC should actually be paid for the service they perform for the White House. Oh, we almost forgot. MSNBC is owned by GE so they are, in effect, being paid by the White House. After all, hasn’t Jeffrey Immelt, GE’s CEO, spent several nights at the White House (along with George Soros). Perhaps that explains everything. We wonder what happened to the principle of not only avoiding impropriety but also avoiding the appearance of impropriety.

Olbermann performed his usual great service on behalf of the Democratic Party by launching attack after attack on Sarah Palin who he calls that hockey mom from the north. That wouldn’t be a sexist comment, would it, Keith? I’m sure it wasn’t because you criticized sexism so strongly later in your Democratic Party promotion hour.

Keith Olbermann goes on later to say that Scozzofava dropped out of the upstate New York race because of poor fund raising and influence from Sarah Palin who he defined as Miss Hateful and Divisive. He goes on to wonder why Palin pushed another Republican woman off the cliff. I guess he didn’t figure out what most others found to be obvious. Scozzofava is a Democrat trying unsuccessfully to disguise herself as a Republican. Guess you missed that Keith.

Olbermann and MSNBC are so far left that they think Sarah Palin is far right. This got PeacockWatch to thinking about the perspective of MSNBC. Indeed, during the program these MSNBC spokespeople for Obama opined about how Obama is reaching out to moderates. That finally explains everything. MSNBC and the White House are so far left that they think left of center Democrats are moderates. Perhaps we need to refer to history for perspective. Didn’t Obama have the most liberal voting record in the Senate? Of course, that was only true when he voted. If the people that Obama is reaching out to are moderates instead of liberals then he must have very short arms or Obama and his team can only be defined as Socialists. Or perhaps they are much farther to the left than Socialists since so many members of the White House inner circle are professed Marxists. No wonder Olbermann and MSNBC and the White House think Palin is far right. I once worked with someone who was very far left. When I told him that he was clearly a far left liberal he responded that he was insulted, that liberals are far too conservative and that he was a socialist. At least he knew what he was and was honest about it.

This all helps PeacockWatch to understand the opinion expressed during Olbermann’s hour of liberal power that the Republican Party has declared war on moderates. Particularly pithy was the MSNBC observation that the Republican Party is not big enough for the Twitter and Facebook poster child from the north and Scozzafava. If moderates are defined as those who Obama is reaching out to then Olbermann is probably right. There is no room for those types of moderates in the traditional Republican Party.

Olbermann’s perspective is made clearer minute after minute and night after night. One of his pronouncements this night is that the Republican Party doesn’t qualify for party status when only 19% of Americans are Republican. Pew strongly disagrees with Olbermann by a large margin. Learn to use Google, Keith.

This last bit of time with Olbermann and MSNBC has been like a trip through the looking glass. Watch out, Alice.
