Desperate, NBC Fabricates Racial “Fallout” Story

Written by PeacockWatch on September 16, 2009.

Following up on last night’s weak attempt to shore up Immelt’s newly devised racial mantra by using the rantings of Jimmy Carter, tonight NBC led with a story on the so called national fallout of Carter’s charges that a large part of the intense animosity directed at President Obama is because he is a black man.

Tonight, Andrea Mitchell lamented that most people thought racial divisions had been healed as a result of President Obama’s election, but Carter’s blunt comments and the tea party activists have now forced a re-examination of our racial assumptions.

Of course,  according to Mitchell, Joe Wilson’s outburst of “You lie!” at the president’s address to the joint session is one of the indications that rampant racism is rolling across the country.

Let’s get real.  Is NBC trying drum up viewership to pump up their miserable Neilson ratings.  NBC is hoping Racisim will become a national battle cry and their grounded ship will miraculously be caught up in a tide of synthetic outrage and finally sail again.

Brian Williams may as well wish for a magic unicorn.  It ain’t going to happen.

After watching Keith Olberman, Chris Matthews and Jimmy Carter I am now convinced that there are parallel universes. Somehow they have been in contact with my parallel self in that universe who always makes decisions based on the color of people’s skin. In fact, if we are to believe what they are telling us, most of the people in that universe are racially prejudiced because most of their decisions are based on skin color. I’m sure glad I don’t live there because I just don’t like those people!

I’d much rather be the person that I am in our universe. I made the decision to vote against Obama because of who he has associated with and because of his beliefs. I researched him and the other candidates carefully. I didn’t like his racially prejudiced minister, I didn’t like the fact that he was an attorney for ACORN, I didn’t like the fact that his wife had never previously been proud of America, I didn’t like the fact that he is a socialist who wants to redistribute my hard-earned money, I didn’t like the fact that he clearly wanted to promote larger government, greater control over my life and government-run health care, and the list goes on.

I’m glad Olberman, Matthews and Carter were talking about my counterpart in that parallel universe. If they were talking about me, and all the others who made the same decision I did for the same reasons, I’d have to assume that Olberman and Matthews were just plain incompetent journalists, had an agenda they were promoting based on direction from above, or worse. In Carter’s case he needs to just throw out the rest of the Billy Beer.
